Presidents Day

It is quite fun to sit with the boys and hear their ideas on who President Lincoln and President Washington was.  Brady says Lincoln was known for his big hat.  Riley said he didn't like how the slaves were treated so he won the Civil War (I was impressed he got the war right.  I know some adults that don't know as much history). Brady asked if Martin Luther King lived before Lincoln.  Such a great opportunity to teach them more about American History at the kitchen table.

This isn't a holiday we decorate for but I should think of some creative way to show the boys more... maybe rent a movie or two about the presidents.
