The last couple of weeks our life became everything to do about lavender. It started last year when my daughter and I decided to attend the Lavender Festival in Sequim, WA. We went for two days and afterwards we thought it was a great fair but that we would wait a couple of years before we went back. However, by beginning of the new year, we were planning going back again this year. I sat in my cold kitchen one January morning at my laptop making reservations for camping in a state park near by the festival.
I can hardly believe that the Festival has come and gone for this year. I can tell you it was better for us this year than it was last year. Probably because we weren't "new". I took enough money to spend for various things we knew they offered and to buy some Christmas gifts.
The photo above is from one of the farms we visited called Olympic Heritage Farm. They had gifts, crafts, music, and food to offer. As well as walking around the lavender and taking pictures. We do plan on visiting again next July too.

Hi Danna, I remember buying lavender at Pikes Market in Seattle when we were there in 2006. They said they got it on Friday Island. I ordered some baths when I got back home.

Danna, I used to hate the smell of Lavender, but love it now. I love aromatherapy & it's great stuff! It really helped with anxiety when I was having it, & is such a great scent to help with sleep too. The lavender field looks so pretty!
